W.A.A.F.D. (figure it out after reading)

That settles that. I'd spent the last five minutes tryna figure out how & what to start this blog with & finally concluded that the 1st alphabet'd suffice.

Pls pay no mind to the name of this blog as it will have no bearing on the flow of this yarn...at least not in this post. Maybe in posts to come. Here goes....:

I woke up 2day @ 5.30 to put off my alarm and then got up by 6.30am to start the day's waka. I go through the motions (short prayer-cos I'll have devotions l8a, a few pressups-tellin myself I'll really work out l8a 2) then settle to think on the day when I suddenly am like ''O mehn, dis cold nor b am @ al!! Who I vex abeg? If na joke abeg make e end sharpli!'', then suddenly it hits me in the wee hours of the morning; today's April fool's day! Instantly I vow to be on the look out & not fall for anyone's trickery!

1st of April= April Fool's day... the day the world legalised lying, a day that Don Devellhino (aka the devil) managed 2 convince all that there was nothing wrong with lying. I truly and honestly wonder about the origins of this 'fancy' tradition. As of this moment, I haven't been able to pinpoint a particular figure in history or civilisation that can be awarded the prize for initiating this grand scheme...cos it's global!
At this point I can imagine some of y'all whose original english names shoulda been George or Georgina turning up your noses & pointing fingers @ moi like ''Na u holy pass? Abi u sef nor dey lie?''. LoL! If that's you, then I must inform you that you've left the trail & are heading deep into the bush @ top speed! Pls turn around & return to this tent of reasoning. I'm only complaining about the enthronement of lying in our psyche! (read again s.l.o.w.l.y).
We all know the 10 commandments (at least most of us)...and those of us that claim to
be 'born-again' (like me) should have a greater .....what do I call it?..... conviction against this trend. I'm not tryna preach @ u o but lemme just add a lil quote from my Operator's manual: Proverbs 26:18-19, that should give you the necessary backing to kick the habit. (Thank me l8a)
So how did I get into this 'War Against AFD'? You might not believe, or some of you more intuitve ones might have guessed already...Yes, I was a victim of one such Scam...& on such a grand scale!!! A few years back (but e stil dey pain me), a girlfriend of mine (i.e. my babe @ d tym) called me on this same day @ about 3.30am & in very hushed tones telling me of a robbery taking place in her hostel (in BDPA- 4 doz of u who know)! As a sharp & connected boyfriend, I promptly called up the Police chief in the area & ensured that they despatched units to the scene of this dastardly act...(b4 I go hear say dem help me press my girl!). Once I knew the police were on their way & ascertained she hadn't been harmed, I went back to bed. Long & short of this tori (cos I'm in a bit of a hurry to dig into this beans & drinking garri infront of me), I learnt later in the day that the police were trying to locate the individual that sent them on such a wild goose chase cos the whole street was as peaceful as a runz-girl waiting for her cheque to clear in the bank. I had 2 hide my head till the dust settled. Anyways, #movin-on, now you know my personal reason along with my 'spiritual' motivation for attacking Valz day,..sorry April Fool's day.
So finally, if you must lie, please do so on your own tip and don't make any attempt to blame it on the innocent day that Baga God handed out FREELY to you as a gift! Show some grattitude jor before I... Ok, I can't do anything but please, a date is not a license in God's eyes o.

This blog was created a long time ago but got it's first 'A' 2day ' I'll give many thanx to my bruva & friend @KevinwithanL, also all the other blogs I've been peeping @ for giving me the necessary push to put my fingers to keyboard.
Pls feel free to comment & critique as you please. It's needed for improvement...but also remember this blog's virgin so be gentle with it.
